Although we reside in the same home
I still feel I’m living alone
For so many years we’ve lived apart
Yet you still own a piece of my heart

You say your heart holds no love for me
Yet you think best friends we’ll always be
A marriage going fast down the drain
For all you’ve done your heart shows no shame

I’ve shed so many tears I’ve run dry
I can’t continue to live this lie
All life needs love to flourish and grow
This is something God’s children all know

Knowing love walks hand in hand with trust
And without them relationships bust
You killed these two and buried them deep
And now it is for your soul I’ll weep

So shallow so cold and yes barren
Not even for self are you carin’
It no longer matters you don’t love me
Through love from my Lord I’ve been set free

I find I still love you deep inside
But not in love a fact I can’t hide
Just like striking a book of matches
You’ve burnt this let wind blow the ashes

I’ve let go of the double edged sword
My heart set on it’s walk with the Lord
