Make A Joyful Noise
I remember years ago
I sang in my church choir
I had a passable voice
And for him I was on fire
I also sang in a group
It was country and western
From these two singing groups
I’m amazed how much I learned
Then I joined a band
And wouldn’t you know
This group taught me more
Than how to roc’ an’ rol’
Life lived lessons learned
And time has turned me old
Great times and real bummers
What I learned is spun gold
I still sing with the stereo
While hubby plugs his ears
I can’t carry a tune in a basket
Haven’t been able to for years
Now I’ve come full circle
And it’s good to be home
No matter how my voice sounds
I don’t have to sing alone
