My Tears Flow Up

I’ve seen many tears fall
Run down cheeks and noses
It seems upon heartache
The door never closes

I keep my tears inside
But when I kneel and pray
All my tears flow upwards
And there they’re meant to stay

Leaving them in God’s hands
Every time that I pray
Having faith he loves me
Hears everything I say

Let your tears run upward
Let Him catch ev’ry one
You’ll find you feel better
By the time your prayers done
