Shield and Sword

I find it hard at times
To remember to pray
When life gets really tough
And strife stands in my way

When time is against me
When I've no time to spare
This is when I forget
That my Lord God is there

I forget He's my shield
And that prayer is my sword
That I can win battles
With the help of my Lord

Through my forgetfulness
It was more strife I'd earned
I pray you'll remember
This lesson I've now learned

Take time to spend with Him
Share with Him all you can
I did guess what happened
Strife took a hike and ran

Yes it will come visit
You can take this as fact
Strife is an enemy
Enemies have no tact

Just invite God along
Pick up your shield and sword
Strife just got cut in half
Through the love of the Lord
