I Tried

Just wrap yourself within my arms
And hold on with all your might
I promise that I won't leave you
You'll make it through this night
 
Please put down the razor
I can't just sit here and watch
You know I can't leave you eaither
That's asking way, way too much
 
So let's just sit and talk awhile
And if we want we'll cry too
Maybe you could write it all down
No one has to see it but you
 
You must find a way to let it out
No...you've proven that doesn't work
It's giving in instead of fighting
You must help you before I go beserk
 
I'll hold your hand and guide you
But you must try with all your might
I'll be there to help all I can
But you must admit this is your fight
 
Don't expect it to be easy
And perhaps we may even fall
Don't let this discourage you
As Jesus has heard our call
 
He'll be there to lend us a hand
And show us which road to take
He will answer all our many questions
It doesn't matter how long it takes
 
Soon you can be there for me
As I too have my problems with life
Next it will be your turn to help me
As I struggle through some type of strife
 
So come, my friend, let's get started
We have a long trek to make
Let's you and I make a pact
Success...no matter how long it takes
