Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time
I was told I had
To believe in something
In order to survive

It took me awhile
But I came up with two
One is, of course, the Lord
And the other is dreams

You see, I had always dreamt
Of a love strong and true
I was introduced to the Lord
And received this blessing

I also dreamt of lasting friendship
Where I could just be myself
Someone to hear and hold me
Someone to listen to and hold

I have dreamt of a guiding light
That shows me the way to freedom
Of living happily ever after
This is only offered by Him

I've also dreamt of meeting the Lord
And I know that I really will
How can I be so confident
I dreamt it didn't I
