Chat With An Angel

I was sitting atop a rainbow
When an angel came flyin' by
This angel stopped to ask me
Why Miss...why do you cry

I said I felt so lonely
No one loved me I felt was true
She said Praise God's Glory
You may be one of the choosen few

A Christian's way isn't easy
He allows plight to help us grow
You've read His book and sung Him praises
I would have thought this you'd know

I thanked her for reminding me
And then I thanked the Lord too
I thanked him for all my blessings
And for all my troubles and blues

Now I don't feel so lonely
As God's alive in my heart
I now keep myself open to him
As troubles finish while others start

I was sitting atop a rainbow

The angel stopped to ask me
Why Miss...why such a smile

I told her God rests in my heart
And how my loneliness had gone away
All life is much easier to cope with now-
Now that I thank Him when I pray
