Heaven's Corridor

Walking along one of the Lord's corridors
My thoughts not at all on where I am going
I’m lost in a fantasy I often have
Destined to meet you in Heaven’s Corridor

What I found in you I thought non-existent
Friendship was only a word used to deceive
Now I wait for the future where meeting you
Would answer the prayer that I have sent to God

I want to shake the hand that offered friendship
To hug the shoulders God lent me to lean on
Smile into eyes that are glad to see me
Pray with the one who helped me keep my faith strong

The whisper of angel wings invade my thoughts
No longer alone in Heaven’s corridor
Friendship materialized in front of me
I’d know you anywhere you’re a welcome sight

Sharing, caring, hugging, friendship bent two ways
Rejoicing, praising God in sweet harmony
Friendship a heavenly gift given by Him
Free to give with blessings received in return

Now our fantasy has joined reality
Proving that all things are possible through Him
I have found out that it is true that friendship’s
Destined to meet you in Heaven’s corridor
