Gifted Knight

Excitement sizzled within her breast
As she gaily twirled in front of her mirror
The green silk gown highlighted green eyes
That shine as if holding unshed tears

Rumor has it that tonight's the night
The last before her knight must leave
Stolen moments had led to enchantment
A spiritual need to fulfill their dreams

Time soon to meet as pre-arranged
She dons her green silk slippers and cape
Slipping silently out her chamber's door
She finds the sleepy castle almost erie

Casting aside the ghosts she hurries on
At last to reach her desired destination
The gardens heady perfume welcomed her
As she raced into her lovers open arms

As if in desperation they clung tightly
Each fearful it's still only a dream
Emotions overflow between their carasses
Hands and lips explore with love's sweet abandon

Clothes discarded in passionate haste
Lay scattered about them forgotten
In a universe of love's creation
Two hearts and souls joyously unite

His heart swells with the fullness of her gift
Her love a shield to see him through battle
He remembers the gift wrapped in green satin
From his love with the shinning green eyes.
