Meanderings

Again my paper faces me with a blank, hypnotizing stare…
Feelings clamor to be the first to be recognized out of many.
The war is between my heart and mind, each wanting to breathe…
One demands to give all the “poop”, and one only the skinny!

The paper, tho’ blank, stares at me as if physically pushing…
The pen that has been quiet for so long mocks me with glee.
Now heart and mind agree to fill the empty, stark canvas…
From all the little bits and pieces going on inside of me!

Knowing the heart and mind share all the souls secrets…
I cringe from deep within as to what they might reveal.
They’ve agreed to both work together to convince me…
The reader won’t know what’s fantasy, and what is real!

Soon the pen glides gracefully over the stark white canvas…
Heart and mind have finally come to a sort of agreement.
Thus they filled the empty canvas with my meanderings…
And it was written all just for YOUR reading enjoyment!
