Let me tell you about a niece of mine
whom I've only known for a short time.
She likes to walk amongst God's trees;
wonder in her eyes at all she shes.
 
Does she hear the songs of the trees
as the wind blows through their leaves?
Has she ever laid on the forest floor
and looked through the trees for heaven's door?
 
I know she also likes the beach,
where more of God's gifts are within reach.
Waves bring in treasures as they hit the shore;
our bags get heavy as we collect some more.
 
One thing that is really neat to see,
is that part of her that is part of me.
Someday we'll visit the forest and the beach,
and touch all God's gifts within our reach.
