I'm a fair poet Or some do say So for your birthday With poetry I'll play
You've tried to remain A stranger to me But experiences have taught My eyes to see
You're a young man Whose built a wall You've worked so long It's steel...and tall
But you didn't count On meeting Auntie Lin Whose striving to be Less Auntie-more friend
I see a young man Who stands on his own But no one person Is meant to stand alone
I have dug deeper To the you that's hidden I've seen and gone past The spot marked forbidden
I've seen your heart Hidden deep inside And all the emotions You're afraid to confide
I'm so very glad I got to know The real true JR The you...the soul
