All Frog Band
Wanting to write some poetry
With not a thought in my head
I sit and look around my room
To see if inspiration can be fed
I have many small knick-knacks
Displayed on tables and shelf’s
If I let my imagination play
With my writing it usually helps
I have so many knick-knacks
I'm unsure of which to choose
I really want to write a poem
Not one heavy but one to amuse
At last imagination has awakened
A verse that comes totally unplanned
I hope you'll all enjoy this verse
All about my All Frog Band
Let me introduce you to Big Boy
He's the leader of the band
He's charming and quite well known
As the deepest croak in the land
His cousins the twins are beside him
"Rib" on the left "Bit" on the right
With a signal from Big Boy's eyes
Rib sings harmony while Bit plays in delight
The triplets, more of Big Boy's kin
Each have their own talent to display
Two of them can play instruments
The third is singing a solo today
Little tadpoles come and sit near
Drawn by music from this famous band
Soon they can be heard humming
Songs well known throughout their land
Now no band is complete without groupies
And Big Boy's band has two
Bringing the odd assortment of friends
Just as groupies are known to do
I hope you've enjoyed my little poem
I'm afraid it's the best I could do
Tell me about your favorite knick-knacks
This is my challenge to all of you
