Be A Poetry Coach

There are many children
Under God's great sky
Whose thoughts and feelings
Could be shared by you and I

Little minds are awakening
And little hearts are too
Children who could be helped
By experiences learned by you

It only takes a moment
To make a smile appear
To make them feel important
And know someone who cares is near

So take a piece of your heart
And share it with a child
Read and respond to their poems
Several have and have smiled

Memories are brought back
By writings of these young
Sweet memories we've forgotten
These are blessings they have brung

Encourage your child to write
And memories you'll surly build
This special time spent together
Is a child's wish fulfilled

A better understanding
From a different approach
Help them share what's inside-
Be a poetry coach
